Friday Motivation – Before You Celebrate Memorial Day

Posted on May 28, 2010 with 5,002 Comments

It’s the end of the week.  Did U get knocked down or did U knock your obstacles down this week!?? maybe GOD put all the EXTRA stuff in your life to KNOCK you down so you could have an OPPORTUNITY to GET UP and be EXTRAordinary!!!!! What situation made your stomach hurt so bad that you made you almost quit… and how did you push through it instead? What did you accomplish this week that you didn’t accomplish last week? Before I get into the details, please understand one thing…

Before you get hype and begin to Celebrate Memorial Day of  2010, let me just say this again. JUNE marks the halfway mark of 2010. That means it’s time to get super serious about how you’re going to take advantage of these next 6 months of 2010.  Here’s why…

If you typed “I DO” to say that you were serious about achieving a big goal this summer – then I truly expect you to be willing to not only take 30 days to make some new habits, but I expect you to take daily actions towards achieving that goal – EVEN when you’re disappointed. By now you should have gained a few miles on your journey towards self-improvement and making your vision a reality. Because it takes 30 days to install a new habit, but it takes consistent, daily action to turn that habit into a lifestyle. There’s a difference between the two.

If you DO have your ISH together – it should be easy to find your purpose and take the actions to chase your dreams. If you are self-motivated, it should be easy to find a new job in a tough job-market. If you DO have your ish together – everything you could possibly face in life gets easier. Why? Because when you have your ISH together, you have control over life’s circumstances. Now listen…

I’ve given you an extra motivational push every day of this week hoping I could inspire you to bust through this week before the month of June arrives. Plus, it’s officially Memorial Day weekend 2010.

Here’s what I want you to understand today that is so important. Plenty of average, ordinary people will do absolutely nothing meaningful with their life this weekend.

The large majority of them will celebrate for absolutely no reason at all. When the reality is – the only reason they are celebrating is the fact that they have been “Granted” a day-off from their job.

Please don’t be one of these average, ordinary people – unless you’re really at the point where your life can afford to take “the day off”.(If your bills are paid on time, you’re almost ready to quit your job… you know who you are…)

I want you to take a moment to review what you’ve achieved this week. What are you going to do–  now that this month is coming to a close, and the half-way mark of 2010 is here? In today’s motivation I’m asking you what you achieved this week – but I should have asked what you achieved this month.

You see…these motivation don’t mean anything if you’re still in the same spot you were from day #1. Why? Because motivation is absolutely useful, but it is only a tool. If you don’t get anything else… get this —

You have use these little sparks  to light a huge wildfire that burns obstacles, frustrations, disappointments away and clears a path towards your destiny.

You deserve everything that you see in your dreams, everything you day dream about. But the only way to be extraordinary, is to do the extra… that ordinary people won’t do.

If you took the effort to push your life ahead, further from where you were earlier in the week, please remember to keep a spirit of gratitude. That’s all I ask. Spread the energy to your friends, family members who could use some motivation and inspiration in their lives. I challenge you to do so.

I appreciate every single comment you’ve left, every tweet, and every “like” this week. It  lets me know I’m helping you become a better person and live the life of your dreams.

Look forward to MORE motivation next week – same time, same place.
